When I first started, before I became addicted, the thing that really helped me was that I scheduled gym time like I would any other appointment. Then I made sure to keep that appointment.
It’s still a struggle at times and there are many days I don’t want to go. Then I think of how much better I feel emotionally and mentally when I do go. Physically is a given, but the other two really sell it for me.
My mental acuity is sharper and my overall mental health stays stable. I feel in control of my life and my body - and that is worth doing every single day.
